I've had no luck finding the title of my print, but know that the artist was born in South Africa and his name is Vladimir Tretchikoff.

I named her 'The Butter Factory Girl' simply because I found her at the Eumundi Butter Factory on one of my trips to my Dads in Noosa Heads. I immediately fell in love with it,and naturally had to have it.

My favourite treasure find and at a bargin price of $25. I made a rule when travelling the world as a backpacker, that if you see something and your heart sings out - 'BUY IT'.

6 months later my Dad drove to Melbourne with the Butter Factory Girl safely placed in his car.

I think of this print as my good luck charm.Since moving to the Bellarine Peninsula from Melbourne 8 years ago,she has always been with me,sitting on my walls.I'm amazed it has never been damaged with all my moves, as the glass it so old and fine.

I never tire of her as its soothing pastel tones and image give our home a feeling of tranquility.

Being a lover of large hats and long lashes, this girl is one of my favourites.She is drawn on tea stained butcher paper that piles up on my easel in my husbands office.I really want to finish her, but drawing hands is such a challenge for me. So she waits...

The image is taken from a mag that I came across and had to draw.

This alcove in our kitchen is an area that I love to change all the time.

To me, ballet shoes say so much by their visual wear and tear.I couldn't resist using them as a pretty prop on this vintage rose print that hangs in our hall.I don't think things need a purpose...If you love it, display it.

I adore everything about this collage! I love the glamour, the perfection of red lipstick. I am fixated on the red coat and the lady in the blue bathing costume.I just love everything about it.I am going to do a series of these, with different images.This one is currently for sale at my store Moss Industry in Barwon Heads.

I really must finish some of my paintings that are lying around.I can only blame it on lack of time with my shop Moss Industry and sometimes my lack of enthusiasm.I have to be passionate about a piece from start to finish.This one is different - I don't quite know what I think of it yet or how it will turn out? I have alot of playing around to do with my paint brush!

This is one of my new collages that I'm currently working on.I originally made one for a display piece in our shop window at Moss Industry Florist.

You can't beat the old.Even the texture of this paper feels different to the glossy magazines of today.I'm someone that never throws anything out, as I know that one day they will be used for something in some way or another?

I am flattered to have 2 orders from girls who have seen my work in our shop window.The hardest thing I have to do is choose what images to put together.

This one is for me.(again) I will finish it soon and put it back on my blog for you to see.

This painting has been on the go for 6 years.The original bather colours were bright frog green and the other in dark pink. I love red and vivid pink together, so I gradually painted over the first colours of choice along with the original background which was in orange.White is definitely a better choice. It really allows their swimsuits colours to stand out. I dabble now and then with this painting in hope of completing it soon.

This is bright and fun! I like the dramatic look on her face and her exaggerated eyes.I also like heads that are tilted.I have sold many prints of this girl.

KRISTA VENDY at Home

Krista Vendy was my old neighbour in St.Kilda, and funny that, because she starred on the soapie 'Neighbours' for years.

A photo shoot took place for New Weekly magazine.With bare walls she kindly asked me to feature one of my paintings.

'Lovers' was painted very easily.I had the house to myself for a few weeks and I truly believe that I paint better alone and not interrupted.

The 'Lovers' painting I did is actually a copy of a German artist's work called 'Otto Mueller'. Not a very well known painter but his work is amazing.The original was in orange and green - which I loathe, so naturally, I added my own touch and style.

This painting remains with me on our wall at home.It holds a special place in my heart and although I could have sold it many times, there are just some paintings that you need to keep.

I also did this in 3 other mediums.First sketched in Charcoal, water colours and acrylic as shown above.

I started this painting 5 years ago, when I was on a roll with my artwork, when suddently my personal life went pear shaped and so the painting came to a stand still.

Life is wonderful now - but my poor painting still remains unfinished.It's not because of how it was - maybe my style has changed with time .I will finish it ,and when I do, I will put it back on my site complete.

I like the old 60's style shape chair, very Major Nelson from 'I dream of Jeannie'.I always did like the furniture in his home, but more so, the get up in Jeannie's bottle!!

Rexy is one of my favourites.This image doesn't show how strong the true colours are, so I will re-load it at a later date.Like dressing a mannequin I loved selecting her jumper colours, and the design with it's simple stripe detail.I did a quick sketch dressing her in something I would wear myself.

My friend Annie from Annie's Provedore in BARWON HEADS purchased this painting from me for her townhouse.It looks perfect on her large white walls, and when I visit, I get to see Rexy.
